Who is behind it
We started because we missed the taste of home.
Defeast began the way most food businesses actually begin — cooking far too much for family, then for friends, then for friends of friends who kept asking. What started as weekend batches for people around Preston turned into a proper registered kitchen.
We still make everything in small runs. That is partly taste and partly honesty: you cannot scale a meat pie to a hundred thousand units and expect it to taste like someone made it for you. So we have not tried.

Ordering
Three steps, no account to create
We deliberately have not built a card checkout. Nearly every order needs a quick word about delivery anyway, so the basket hands straight over to WhatsApp and you talk to the person who baked it.

Fill your basket
Pick what you want from the menu and set the quantity. The basket keeps itself, so you can leave and come back without losing it.

Tell us where it goes
At checkout you give us a delivery address, a phone number and anything else we should know — a buzzer code, a date you need it by, an allergy.

One tap sends the whole order to us as a message. We reply with the delivery charge and how to pay, usually within the hour.
